I thought the same thing when I saw that. I hate that either side is calling either one of these an "insurrection." In both cases, the rioters and trespassers were not trying to "insurrect," meaning they weren't trying to overthrow the government. They were trying to get the government to "redress grievances." But somehow that is insurrection now.

On the other hand, if you're going to call J6 an "insurrection" and set the standard at the federal level that you can throw people off committee assignments for politics and words you don't like, then you can't complain when the shoe is on the other foot.

The dual system of justice is working perfectly. All per the plan. Once we tire of the injustice perhaps we will vote differently, until then....

Insurrection was only used because it scored points. That game is over, so now the rules have changed.

Yes, and it sometimes seems to me that certain elements of both sides are engaged in a little-appreciated competition of who can be the insurrectionari-est.
