At Home
I am finally at home. On Sunday I was carried out to an ambulance and taken to a local hospital where I was diagnosed with COVID, Influenza and Pneumonia. Three for the price of one. I was treated with Remdesivir, an antiviral, for five days, administered daily at 2:00 a.m. I had all the fun experiences with which each of you is already grimly familiar. Two medications were not transcribed in the ER, therefore I wasn’t taking them and had no prescription for them. Unfortunately, one is a carefully balanced stop medication with a specific start medication. I got the start every day without the counterbalancing stop; I ran out of pajamas daily.
My long-suffering wife picked me up at about noon. I am now at home making her life miserable. It’s a tough job, but somebody’s got to do it.
Coming Attractions
I will publish two articles in the coming week dealing with the Trump legal difficulties in New York. One will be factual and free. I don’t care whether you love or loathe Trump; facts are the same in either case. One will deal with my interpretation of the larger implications of the actions. It will deal with the future of New York specifically and the U.S. in general. That will require a subscription.
We take our eyes of you for a minute...
Glad you are home and doing better and all ready to send us more grim reading material to eat our own kishkes. But something is better than nothing...
Warmest wishes, Bill.
Keep on truckin'!
