Déjà Vu All Over Again
The US Dollar was Downgraded by a Debt Rating agency recently. Again. On August 5, 2011, thirty-one months into Barrack Obama’s first term, US Debt was downgraded over concerns about excessive spending and governance. Biden Administration officials are blaming Republicans for the downgrade, pointing to the negotiation this summer over spending limits in and an increase in the Debt Limit.
In July, VP Harris flew to Jacksonville to deliver a speech slamming Governor DeSantis’s recently released statewide standards for teaching black history, claiming it taught that slaves benefited from slavery. I can hear echoes of “Don’t Say Gay Law” in the speech. Both claims are false, and appear to have arisen from a desire to find a reason to find fault.
