Health Update
I never fell asleep last night. At 8 a.m. I was unable to stop coughing. In addition to Stage 3 COPD, I have late-onset hydrocephalus, which has finished destruction of my sense of balance, and recurring lung infections. I’m also allergic to cats, and the pair of bobtails my wife and daughter adopted two years ago are suddenly causing allergy symptoms. Both bedroom and den are equipped with high power air filters.
The coughing brought both my wife and our youngest daughter to rescue me. It took two hours, including one-and-a-half hours on supplemental oxygen before I was able to get by on my own. I was barely coherent, and could not sleep until after one p.m.
Posting will slow significantly for a while.
Thanks for the well-wishes. My decline is irreversible; there is no cure for late-onset hydrocephalus. I'm a bit better today; I just feel as though parts of me evaporated and are unlikely to reappear.
Here's hope that you can stay on this side of the dirt, Bill; but you can be confident that things will get better. Energy is never destroyed and you have a shitload of it. We have an eternal and spiritual parent that loves us unconditionally.
Life is like a Hollywood movie: it all turns out well, even though it gets tedious before it's over.
