Joe Biden can still win Re-Election.
This is neither a prediction nor a preference, but a warning. The only person who can give us Bumblin’ Joe for another four years is Donald Trump. Trump brought us prosperity and security. His only real failings were underestimating the irrational hatred of tribal Democrats, who could not see beyond party labels, and the vitriol of the mainstream press. Together they formed the core of Trump Derangement Syndrome.
Our Mainstream Press is largely partisan in favor of Democrats, and the high-tech companies follow along. Those alone will not be able to propel Joe across the finish line. The calculus will go back to the 2000 election and the Electoral College. We, the People, do not elect our president. That job is given to the Electoral College by the Constitution. And that makes it difficult for a Democrat to lose.
Electoral College
Any Democrat who hasn’t been dead for more than two months will receive the electoral votes of California (54), Oregon (6) and Washington (12). He/she will also receive the electoral votes of New York (28), New Jersey (14), Massachusetts (11), Maryland (10) and Washington, DC (3). That totals 138, with 270 out of 538 needed to win. As we saw in 2020, that’s not quite done. In many states that are fairly well evenly split, all that is necessary is to control the mechanics of elections in a state, or in a county or city in which there is no meaningful opposition from the other party. The use of mail-out ballots, suspending need to verify signatures, no requirement for voter identification and allowing the use of ballot harvesting provide fertile ground for destroying the vote audit trail, which allows for great mischief to enter the process. States including Illinois (19 electoral votes), Michigan (15), Pennsylvania (19), Georgia (16), Arizona (1), Vermont (3) and Hawaii (4) fall into that category. With these 87 additional votes, a Democrat’s total reaches 225 without ever running a campaign ad or even leaving his basement.
Yes, Joe Biden, even after throwing away the work of his six predecessors of both parties to bring back inflation, giving away our energy independence and allowing China to emerge as the leading superpower, not to mention making us weaker internationally, can be re-elected.
Without fixing the election integrity holes, it doesn't matter who's running in 2024 - the Ds will "win".
I cannot trust any media, really, so I cannot trust the push to vote forTrump either. All I can go on is that under Trump, things held more steady than prev. or after. Any port in a storm? I am old enough to believe I should still vote, but many seem to be encouraging me not to vote at all. It's interesting.
