I used a phrase in a response to another poster this week: Word Salad with Giggle Dressing. I hereby surrender all copyright privileges which may appertain and offer it free of encumbrance to any Substack writer who wishes to use it.

Any opposition to Ms Harris must be assumed to be policy-based. Either we, as a nation, return to elections based on issues devoid of personalities and unimportant immutable qualities, or we will cease to be a nation. We need to shy away from pretending that the only things to which people are objecting are the reasons she was chosen as the Vice President – race and gender. No one should care if she is a purple hermaphrodite from Mars. Everyone should care that she is complicit in breaking the southwest border, flooding our country with around ten million illegal immigrants costing cities and the federal government billions of dollars, stumbling our way into two foreign wars, indulging in profligate spending that ignited inflation, giving comfort to our adversaries and the finger to our allies.

To quote the eloquent liberal journalist Michael Shellenberger, “Harris has a very poor track record, from her failure to control the border under Biden to her failure to make a significant dent against crime as San Francisco’s District Attorney or California’s Attorney General. Her record as a prosecutor was controversial and plagued by scandal. She did nothing of importance as a US Senator.”

I suppose that might explain some of his actions in working hard to destroy the United States; frankly, I don’t care. Shuffle him off to the dustbin of history, quickly, before he succeeds.

Democratic Party

I could almost forgive the knee-jerk lying about Joe’s crime spree; I cannot forgive the lying – attempted hoax, really – in trying to foist a vegetable-in-waiting on the U.S. as a sharp, vibrant, active and engaged President. Probably the worst scandal in the history of the country.

The party first tried to deny Republicans in Colorado and Maine the opportunity to vote for Trump. Next, lawfare raised its head, with DAs representing overwhelmingly Democrat constituencies in Georgia and New York filing suits against Trump; in New York the trial was of the marsupial variety with no requirement that all jurors agree on a single charge to render a guilty plea if every juror agreed Trump was guilty of something. That trial was able to be held only because the Manhattan DA conflated two separate years-old misdemeanors to invent 34 felonies (you can’t make this shit up). The Georgia trial was even worse. First, the DA had to choose between herself and her boyfriend to throw under the bus and may never be cleared of suspicion that she and her boyfriend took vacations together on the public’s dime. Records reflect that both trials employed attorneys who coordinated their work with the White House. Additionally, two federal investigations led to dismissal of charges in the more serious case, with the less serious case being fatally endangered by a subsequent Supreme Court ruling.

It now appears that a Presidential hopeful who has been selected for coronation will become the Party’s official candidate without ever having received a single Democrat vote in a primary election over two Presidential Election cycles. And Donald Trump is the danger to democracy.
