One-Party State
This was written yesterday. For reasons I do not understand, it failed to publish.
My most recent post was about the Biden speech calling Republicans “semi-fascists” and linking them to insurrection on January 6. Yesterday afternoon he turned a bumpy ride for democracy into a train wreck.
The speech he gave pre-empted broadcasts at most antenna broadcast stations and many cable networks. This is presumably done only for unofficial or official government business and issues of great importance to all Americans. Instead, it was a partisan hack job; worse, there were two US Marines clearly visible throughout the broadcast behind Biden, allowing the audience to infer that the US military supported the substance of Biden’s remarks. That is a disgraceful act and may be impeachment worthy. The substance of Biden’s remarks was clearly intended to label the Republican party as supporting violence, insurrection, and treason. He continues sowing discord among Americans, working to divide the country on tribal grounds. I am 74 and have never been so fearful. He is, in my opinion, fomenting rebellion and war.
The Ministry of Truth that he attempted to establish earlier this year was bad enough. Today we read emails between the Biden Administration and social media staffs colluding to silence Americans’ voices if they dare criticize a Democrat or challenge Dr. Fauci’s narrative. You can’t make this shit up.
Burr Kills Hamilton
Until yesterday the most heinous action by a holder of a national office was Alexander Hamilton’s death at the hand of Vice President Aaron Burr. Although nobody died as a direct result of yesterday’s speech – yet – this may be worse than the famous duel. It was an attack on half of Americans by a President who promised to unite us. He has done little except to divide us since his inauguration.
Mudpits
His sloppily dug mud pits in which he makes accusations of extremism and threats to democracy without offering proof or even an example cry out for substantiation. He repeatedly denigrated the MAGA agenda, so I wondered what that might be. I was able to dredge pieces up from my failing memory and found parts of it: low inflation, pulling manufacturing back into the US, calling out China, imposing tariffs, demanding that NATO allies fulfill their commitments, bringing peace to Israel with a number of Muslim countries, rebuilding our military, keeping unemployment low, increasing take-home pay for lower- and middle-class taxpayers; sounds good to me.
I never voted for Donald Trump; then again, I never voted for Joe Biden, either. If the next Presidential election comes down to a re-run of 2020¸ I will vote for Trump. Biden will obviously not accept anything short of a one-party state.

Excellent list of DJT *policy*. All those who oppose this Leftist insurrection (yes, when you declare real war on your political opponents, you are insurrecting) can long for a return of the sane policy of DJT, in contrast to his obvious character flaws, which I am sure caused a huge loss of support (present host included?). You did leave out the Southern border, and the CCP manufactured, Mexican cartel delivered, candy poison pouring in.
But you are right to hold your nose and vote for him. And I think we all hope DJT declines to run, instead putting his obviously powerful backing to a Desantis, or another as yet to be revealed Trumpian (in POLICY, not "niceness," but since when did we start to require that the POTUS be our BFF?).
Those darkened marines and that ghastly dark red hue was truly sickening.
Who are the idiots running these things, that the bright blue was not used, and the government guns were not in threatening shadows?
