Various Observations
President Biden and the Classified Documents
The man’s arrogance and disdain for the citizenry are overwhelming. “Some documents were misfiled.” They were ‘misfiled’ in a space funded by China, were TOP SECRET/SCI and we learn simultaneously that China is paying our President nearly $1M a year to teach courses at the Penn/Biden center. China is also paying several members of Biden’s cabinet to teach courses. The FBI is not searching for any documents and Biden’s private attorneys are in charge. “There’s no there, there.” NOT THIS TIME. The “There” is multiple impeachable offenses. Worse, I am certain that not a single Democrat will cooperate in indicting and convicting this clown.
Recession
Most economists predict a recession in our short-term future. The reassuring words from our President tell us that everything is fine, with huge reductions in the annual deficit and inflation coming down. All of this is thanks to the excellent way Biden has managed the economy. Is somebody putting drugs in his Geritol? I am no longer able to help my wife with grocery shopping. Yesterday she returned with a week’s groceries and said they cost $300. I’m retired with no way to generate additional income. At the current rate we will run out of money before we die. We have lived frugally. I wonder how others are making it.
Ukraine
I understand Ukrainian oligarchs invested several billion in FTX, That’s a neat scheme. We send money to Ukraine, it gets stolen and invested in FTX, where it eventually makes its way back to the Democratic Party. Our government is taxing us and using the money to fund its own reelection. The physicists are wrong; it is possible to construct a perpetual motion machine.
Hey Bill, the money sent to Ukraine is not stolen since it was given to them for the purpose of 1) prolonging the war/money making opportunity and 2) to provide campaign/PAC money to Democrats and others through FTX.
Since voting doesn't matter any longer (if it ever really did) and protests against the gov result in fines/jail time/financial and personal destruction to the few that try, what do you suggest Americans do to right this ship?
"I wonder how others are making it."
We aren't. Unlike the fed gov, individual households cannot simply raise their debt limit without adverse consequences.
"The physicists are wrong; it is possible to construct a perpetual motion machine."
I don't make a habit of quoting Margaret Thatcher, but credit where it's due; her line about eventually running out of other people's money seems apt here.
