A Banana Hunt in a Witch Republic
We have officially gone over the Cliff
The Biden Administration, rather than relying on the Constitutional approach of free and fair elections, is acting like a Third World authoritarian regime and using the Department of Justice and District Attorneys in heavily-Democrat jurisdictions to hobble, or even imprison, the President’s primary opponent. This approach, while both unethical and unconstitutional, is very effective. This covers the highlights of the first trial.
In 2017, Michael Cohen, then President Trump’s attorney, submitted an invoice to the President for $130,000. Trump’s accounting department classified it as a legal expense. Seven years later, and past the deadline imposed by the statute of limitations, the action was classified by the DA as Falsification of Business Records because Michael Cohen, by then erstwhile attorney for Trump, had actually billed for reimbursement of money he spent paying porn star Stormy Daniels for a Non-Disclosure Agreement. Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg, who had campaigned on a platform to “get” Trump, determined that the payment was hidden for the purpose of affecting the 2016 election by unlawful means. The charging document never indicated what those unlawful means were, and they remained secret until the jury instructions.
Making misdemeanors into felonies was certainly unexpected from Alvin Bragg. Bragg has converted 52% of all Manhattan felonies magically into misdemeanors, with New York law calling for immediate release. He is a poor symbol for New York, with the Borough gaining a deserved reputation as Chaos Central for daylight robberies in Times Square, group “shopping without money” along the luxury shopping rows, and five-star hotels overrun by illegal aliens.
Contorting the Law
The judge, a reputed partisan Democrat who has contributed to a fund earmarked for “resisting the Republican Party and Donald Trump’s right-wing agenda” in contravention of New York law, allowed a mutable charging document that did not specify the other crime that allowed two misdemeanors for which the statute of limitations had run out to metamorphize into felonies, and a set of jury instructions that did not require a unanimous verdict on any single charge but that would count as unanimous so long as each juror selected at least one of the charges. The jury pool was a Borough in which 85% of the votes were cast against Trump. Out of this mess, with one defense witness, former Federal Election Commission Chairman drawing an objection to his testimony, which the judge upheld, came a verdict of 34 felonies. You can’t make this shit up.
The Missing Figleaf
There is no longer any trace of a fig leaf that the four trials are all managed from the “Justice” Department. The number three official in the Justice Department resigned to take a position at about half his former pay with the Manhattan DA’s office. Fulton County DA Fahni Willis’ paramour, Nathan Wade, was reimbursed for two trips to Washington, DC, to coordinate with the legal department at the White House
The trial, from the prosecution to the arguments to the rulings to the jury charges and verdict was an amalgam of unconstitutionality, malpractice and poor judgment. Not to mention partisan bias. There is no way to describe this except as election interference. And there are three more to go.
God Save America.
The criminal acts of Joe Biden and his compliant "Justice" Department have turned America into a dictatorship complete with imprisoned political enemies. Bragg's scheme to turn misdemeanors that have passed their expiration date into Federal felony crimes will be blasted and undone by the Supreme Court. Every phony case brought up by the moron Merrick Garland needs to be reviewed and Garland should be hanged on the same scaffold as Tony Fauci.
If our current fascist government exists after January, 2025, the USA will soon join Great Britain, Turkey, Rome, and Greece as failed empires.
Kert continues to bellow about leaving. So why doesn't he? Did he forget how to get back to his echo chamber? That would be typical of a person with his skewed views.
Or could it be that he "doth protest too much"? It's rather frightening to know he is out walking the streets. I wonder how many times he will vote for the senile man in November?
