Do you still keep in touch with former colleagues? Would like to read about what should be done and can be done to repair the damage from the people who have been there at its best and at its worst.

My experience with law professionals was similar in terms of their professionalism. I simply cannot believe the agents behavior in these recent years. The overkill in a SWAT team for Stone and now the raid on Rev Houck are so out of character. The raid on Stone really was excessive and we really don't know about Houck because the FBI disputes the account of excess. But we also have

Navarro taken into custody with excess - leg irons?

The Stanford Prison experiment among others comes to mind. But at least one FBI agent has come forward to blow a whistle that his work as a SWAT member was inappropriate. Politics seems to have infected the DOJ/FBI in dangerous ways. Russiagate seems to be the tip of a corrupt world.

Thank you, M. Bill, for the work you have done, and especially the work you are currently doing.

I can only imagine what it feels like for you to see what has become of your (our) FBI.

The Norths and the Custers will always be with us; an American type. Work with 'em when you have to, work around 'em given the opportunity. But you know this.

Hey y’all, I knew Heath was a smart guy, but, DAMN! I guess it was when he was working in Colombia that he gave some cat a dose of lead poisoning. And Ollie is a braggart? Shocking!

Interesting life, interesting stories, interesting man, Bill is.

Yo, Bill, I hope you have penned some kind of memoir. And I of all people am optimistic that the craven weaklings in upper management in the FBI, et al, will soon be unceremoniously relieved of their livelihood. But it won’t be soon enough.

Were you around for Ruby Ridge? That, to me, was the first sign that the FBI had seriously decayed.

re 'Most of what I did with the Bureau in the seventies was sorting out how the military could support the Bureau in its national security efforts'....while you were busy doing that, I was age 6-16, and I am tellin you, a lot happened too. I went to the pool alot and had an 8 track AND a record player. I had older brothers who could do somersaults off the board at the pool, or cannonballs. Boy, big splashes.

O my. Iran-Contra. Olver North was/is such an arrogant jack rabbit. Good for your B-in-Law and yes, every day we see FBI meticulous...like that case in MN where they just caught all the COVID fraud. But s few at the top destroy all the decency. Your life story is full of adventure and secrecy.
